This course is a practical journey into Ecclesiastical Latin through the Church’s most cherished texts. You will learn to read and understand the Pater Noster, the Ave Maria, the Credo, the Ten Commandments, and selected passages from the Vulgate.

By the end, you will have the skills to approach these foundational texts in their original Latin, deepening both your knowledge and appreciation of the Christian heritage.

Who Can Join?

A basic knowledge of Latin is required (for example, Latin I & Latin II), as we will translate each text to ensure full comprehension. No prior training in paleography is needed.

Format & Materials

• Live sessions are held via Zoom

• All sessions are recorded and available for later viewing

• Students receive transcriptions, abbreviation charts, and other reading aids

• A certificate of completion is available upon request
