In this lesson, we will review the books and independent resources that may be used alongside the course.
The principal recommended textbook is Hans Ørberg’s Lingua Latina per se Illustrata: Pars I – Familia Romana (link). We will also discuss optional supplementary publications, including Exercitia Latina (link), A Companion to Familia Romana (link), Colloquia Personarum (link), and Nova Exercitia Latina (link).
These publications are independently produced and are not included with the course. Students who wish to use them should obtain their own copies separately.
The lesson explains which resources are recommended for different stages of study, which are optional, and how to choose materials according to your goals, budget, and preferred approach to learning Latin.
